Write a thorough analysis of Glaspell's use of actions, props, costumes--visual elements (not dialogue)--in this play. The object of this paper should be to explain how these elements (in addition to the dialogue) communicate important information to the audience. In your paper, be sure to identify specific visual elements and explain exactly what it is that those elements communicate

Glaspell’s use a great amount of actions, props, costumes, and visual elements to prove or make his point across. The play is about a murder and they are investigating the case to see who killed Mr. Wright. According to the story it’s a very unusually death but because the author use different techniques he is able to show what he try to take out of each individual part or section make it understandable and sometimes not that clear. I will explain some of the ways I founded him using a technique.
The first technique that I saw Glaspell use was his props. Throughout his play it became very noticeable. First I knew when Mrs. Peter’s was looking over her stuff to find her knitting things and then she found a dead birds in her box. That was very weird . This let me to think that she kill her husband because the bird was killed by his neck and so was the Mr. Wright. Also because if the bird was killed accidentally why would it be still their. Another thing would be that she slept with him how wouldn’t she had felt when he was being kill. It s very unbelievable to believe. Those were some props that I felt brought a point across.
Another thing that I saw very useful would have been the visual elements. In the beginning of the play when Mrs. Wright was sitting in the rock’ in chair and they described her as queer and she was holding her apron. Meaning that if I were to picture that she would look very suspicious which then make me think that she had to do something with the crime. Also what got to me was when they (Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Hale) were talking about that they were not very cheerful and not very happy. If I was to picture that again I would see people not getting along and them not liking each other, pretty much they hate each other. Then if people dislike each other and there is no love and they were never happy I still would get that something was wrong and that she killed her husband.
Finally I explain my point in which I thought it was cleared how Glaspell uses different techniques to show what I captured which was that Mrs. Wright killed her husband because she was unhappy and felt he was controlling to her life. The two techniques that I saw important to this was the props that they gave and the visual elements that were given also. So, if sometimes you don’t see something clear look in deeper an you will discover something more than what it is . This happens because there always a meaning to another meaning you just have to try and find it, its all within.
