Lit Response On The Yellow Wallpaper

This is a great story and is very interesting to read. Charlotte Perkins did a great job on the part where an author gains and keeps the attention living in with in the reader. The Yellow Wallpaper talks about this lady that you could say she seems kind of crazy or doesn’t realize what she is doing. This lady’s husband is a doctor that take care of her. This is what I am talking about the story right now might sound really boring. Mrs. Perkins use many techniques to keep you droved in the story. One thing that is noticeable is the vivid details that are provide in the story. Also the symbolism was brought out of it too as an important key factor of getting you into the story. The story has many important techniques throughout its whole but today these two will be taught to you in more detail.
The first key factor would be the amount of details that were provided throughout the story. The amount of details were great and it help keep the interesting level on. An example of this would be the following sentence, There is a delicious garden! I never saw such a garden large and shady, full of box-bordered paths, and lined with long grape-covered arbors with seats under them. This is great example of the type of detail that was found within the story. To begin with these detail are catchy they bring your attention to it. The word delicious that is describing the garden makes you think that the garden is fresh it probably has juicy fruits. That’s how it gets you to keep up the reading and another Example sentence of these detail is, when she describe the yellow wall paper. The color is repellent, almost revolting; a smouldering unclean yellow, strangely faded by the slow turning sunlight. With this sentence by the detail you know that she dislike this in any way possible. The words such as repellent and revolting show the dislike between her as a person and the wallpaper.
The next key factor that is very important is the symbolism that is found in my mind throughout the story. The first thing that I believe is a symbol is the yellow wallpaper. I think the wallpaper stands out for her sickness this is the object that makes her act like she is showing like she is crazy and gives her these fancies. the wallpaper hurts her in so many ways that is like killing her slowing or eating her up. These can be related because the obsession she shows through the story as desperate for that wallpaper and that all she talks about which shows that she worry’s about a lot of the time. The next symbol I think is very important is her husband john I think he stands for her safety and that the only person that keeps her up its like he is her protector. That the end and know you know the key factors of what keeps the reader interested.
